Meet the people behind H3

Chris Hird

Projects Director

Chris has over 15 years of experience within the construction industry, specialising in concrete repair, protective coating and waterproofing systems. His background is centred around delivering technically demanding projects within live operational environments, including multi-storey car parks, commercial buildings and occupied assets where safety, sequencing and programme control are critical throughout the works.

He holds an NVQ Level 7 qualification in Construction Senior Management and a CSCS Black Card. His experience comes from managing projects through live delivery, coordinating teams on operational sites and maintaining control of programmes, safety and quality within challenging working environments.

At H³ Construct, Chris remains involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial inspections and tender development through to site delivery and handover. His role includes overseeing project coordination, managing operational challenges and acting as a consistent point of contact for clients throughout the works.

His approach is practical and delivery-focused, with attention placed on quality, compliance and long-term performance rather than short-term solutions. The objective on every project is to deliver work that meets the technical requirements of the structure, operates effectively in service and provides reliable long-term performance for the client.

Jonathan Harding

Technical Director

Jon has more than 20 years of experience within structural waterproofing, concrete repair and refurbishment across commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. His background is grounded in practical site delivery and understanding how systems perform once installed within live operational environments.

At H3 Construct, Jon leads on technical review, system selection and pricing strategy. His role includes reviewing drawings, developing specifications, preparing cost plans and defining methodologies with a focus on buildability, compliance and long-term performance. Solutions are developed around the condition and operational requirements of the structure rather than relying on standardised specifications.

Before co-founding H3 Construct, Jon held senior positions with manufacturers and specialist contractors including Stirling Lloyd, USL and BASF. That experience shaped a practical approach to system selection and refurbishment planning based on understanding which solutions will perform reliably in service over time.

Jon is closely involved from tender stage through to project completion, supporting technical development, programme planning and operational delivery. The focus remains consistent throughout: select the correct system for the structure, deliver it in a practical and commercially realistic way, and ensure it performs properly once the project is complete.

Sharon Hall

Company Secretary

Sharon oversees the operational systems and administrative controls that support the day-to-day running of H³ Construct. Her responsibilities include governance, compliance, document management and internal processes, helping maintain consistency and control across the business.

She manages company records, document control and contract administration while supporting the senior management team across operational and commercial activities. Attention to detail and organisation are central to the role, ensuring information is managed accurately and project documentation is maintained properly throughout each stage of delivery.

Sharon also acts as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, supporting clear communication and the controlled management of project and company information from appointment through to completion.

Much of this work takes place behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in maintaining compliance, coordination and operational efficiency across the business, allowing project teams to focus on delivery on site.

Tony Dinsdale

Operations Manager

Tony has more than 45 years of experience within the construction industry, with a background centred around site delivery, operational management and coordinating works within live environments. His career has progressed from site-based roles through to senior operational positions, giving him extensive experience in how projects are planned, sequenced and delivered on site.

His day-to-day focus has always been on maintaining progress, coordinating labour and resolving operational issues while keeping works organised and controlled within busy working environments. He understands the importance of sequencing, communication and site management in delivering projects safely and efficiently.

At H³ Construct, Tony oversees operational delivery across projects, supporting site teams to maintain coordination, programme control and consistent standards throughout the works. He remains closely involved in ensuring projects continue to progress effectively while operational challenges are managed as they arise.

His approach is practical, organised and hands-on, with a focus on maintaining consistency, supporting delivery teams and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.

Phil Fitzgerald

Site Manager

Phil has more than 15 years of practical experience across construction, groundworks and structural waterproofing projects throughout the UK and Europe. His experience is centred around delivering works within live operational environments where safety, access and programme control are critical throughout the project.

Since joining H³ Construct in 2021, Phil has managed concrete repair and protective coating projects for clients including Q-Park and NCP. Much of this work has been carried out within operational multi-storey car parks and other occupied environments where disruption must be controlled carefully while maintaining safe operation of the site.

He oversees labour coordination, materials management and site logistics with a strong focus on organisation, sequencing and quality control. Maintaining clean, compliant and well-managed working areas is a key part of ensuring projects progress safely and predictably.

Phil is SMSTS trained and CSCS qualified, with experience gained through hands-on site delivery across a wide range of refurbishment and waterproofing works. He remains closely involved from initial site setup through to completion and handover, maintaining a consistent focus on health, safety and operational control throughout the programme.

His practical and straightforward approach plays an important role in keeping complex live-environment projects organised, efficient and well controlled for both clients and delivery teams.

5 Things to Consider Before Starting a Car Park Refurbishment

Posted about 4 months ago by Chris Hird

Car parks don’t suddenly fail — they deteriorate quietly. Water enters through cracks, chlorides reach the steel, coatings wear thin and joints open. By the time the surface looks tired, the structure has often been under strain for years.

Refurbishment isn’t about repainting lines. It’s about intervening early, before deterioration becomes liability.
