Surveys can be used to investigate a known problem, establish the extent of visible deterioration, support planned refurbishment works or provide information for future maintenance and budget planning.

Where appropriate, surveys can be supplemented by specialist testing, opening-up works and further investigation to build a clearer picture of the existing condition.
